LIBRARY BEHAVIOR


Patrons shall respect the right of others to use the Library in a peaceful atmosphere.

Patrons are responsible for the safety & behavior of their children while the children at in the library.

PATRONS SHALL NOT HARASS OR ANNOY OTHERS:

  • through noisy or boisterous behavior
  • by playing audio equipment or using cell phones so that others can hear them
  • by running
  • by using obscene or abusive language or acts
  • through threatening behavior of any kind
  • by stalking or harassing staff or patrons
  • or by behaving in a manner which reasonaly can be expected to interfere with other persons' use of the library or staff duties

PATRONS SHALL NOT:

  • consume food or beverages, smoke or use tobacco or tobacco products
  • take library materials into the restroom
  • leave children under the age of six unattended
  • be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • engage in any illegal activity while in the library building
  • deface or mar library materials including books, magazines, newspapers, recordings, or other items in the library
  • enter the building without shirt or shoes
  • bring pets or animals into the library, other than service dogs
  • solicit for sales or contributions
  • carry weapons of any kind
